If you are very concerned about the sourcing of your products, believe in organic ingredients, food is your obsession, and you are willing to spend some extra money, then Ambronite is the meal replacement for you: natural, tasty and extremely healthy. Not only that, but they have one of the best tasting shakes in the market, and a newly released ketogenic shake. The brand has much improved since I last reviewed it a year ago, despite keeping some of its flaws.
I Like
- High quality prime ingredients, non-GMO and shakes free of artificial additives. These qualities are not present in many meal replacement shakes; and we embrace Ambronite’s philosophy for a better sourced and higher quality ingredients. We believe that without the top quality components, you can not aim to deliver the uppermost standard products.
- Taste has improved a lot, and Balanced Meal Shake Chocolate is one of the best tasting shakes I have ever had. Not only that one, but the newly released Keto Meal Shake is also fantastic. Highly recommended, both.
- Nutritionally well-balanced shakes. Complete Meal Shakes delivers an excellent fatty acid profile, with plenty of omega-3; together with good quality proteins and carbs.
- All nutrients your body needs from real food and plants. Using real foods and plant based recipe, nuts and berries for instance, as main source of nutrients is not all that common in the industry. Mainly because providing 100% of your micros this way is hard. Thus, it is great that CMS delivers with all you need from natural sources.
- Huge discounts for those who subscribed or buy in bulk. Loyalty is appreciated at Ambronite, and as such, regulars will be able to enjoy their shakes at a much cheaper price.
- Free worldwide shipping in orders above $/€150. If you use the international store, you can order Ambronite from anywhere around the globe and you will have free shipping. No other brand offers such a good deal.
- Keto option for Europe and the USA. One of the first ketogenic options in Europe with high quality ingredients and the Ambronite DNA.
I Dislike
- The price. While it is comparable to other products that are based on organic and real food (Feed. and Ample); $6.5/400kcal as starting price will not be affordable for many.
- UX and UI of the website. Navigation on the site and choosing which flavours you want can be a little bit confusing.
- High sugar content. One drawback of plant based meal replacements is usually their high sugar content. Ambronite is fairly high in sugar, although mostly comes from fructose (sugar from fruits), still poses a minor issue.
- Balanced Meal Shake and Keto Meal Shake are not complete. While they provide you all the macronutrients you might need, they fail to deliver with enough vitamins and minerals.
Improvements
- An alternative protein source. While oat protein is very viable (particularly in higher doses, like CMS offers); it would be better if they used a protein with higher bio availability.
- Make Balanced Complete. I hope that with time they make all their powder based meal nutritionally complete.

[bs-text title=”Taste Test” icon=”” title_link=”” heading_color=”#81d742″ heading_style=”t2-s3″ bs-show-desktop=”1″ bs-show-tablet=”1″ bs-show-phone=”1″ css=”” show_title=”1″ bs-text-color-scheme=”” custom-css-class=”” custom-id=”taste”][/bs-text]
I have had the pleasure to try all Ambronite shakes. I must admit that the array of flavours the Finish brand offers is vast, but not all reach the highest quality in terms of taste. Nevertheless, Balanced Meal Shake Chocolate is simply sublime. It is one of the best shakes that I have tasted in the past 2 years.
Complete Meal Shake Taste
Ambronite Complete Meal Shake has a very fruity taste; very much like a smoothie, with a similar consistency. You will not find any lumps and the mix will be easy to shake; which is always a concern in other shakes.
The one issue people might have is the background flavour; or what I call the Ambronite flavour. An earthy, very distinctive taste, that might not be of everybody’s liking.
From the three flavours; I found Ginger & Apple to be the best, with that freshness that ginger provides with the acidity of the apples combining deliciously. Banana was my second favourite and Berry the most underwhelming.
Balanced Meal Shake Taste
This is the best tasting product in my opinion. The shakes are smooth, thick and very enjoyable. Particularly, the Chocolate flavour stands above the rest. In fact, this is the best flavour Ambronite has by a mile and it has become one of my favourite chocolate shakes.
Why? It is rich, dark, deep lingering cacao flavour that is hard to find. It feels natural, and you can definitely tell is not an artificial flavouring. Balanced Meal Shake Chocolate reminds me of my favourite ice-cream, and I truly enjoy it.
Besides the chocolate, Vanilla is quite good too. The smooth texture, as well as the oaty vanilla flavour are nice. On the other hand, Berry is the worst shake Ambronite has, with little similarity to its name.
Keto Meal Shake Taste
Right now, there’s only one flavour available: chocolate. But similarly to Balanced Meal Chocolate, this is a superb shake. It is slightly creamier, probably due to the coconut and higher fat content, more buttery, but still rich chocolate.
This shake does not mix as well as BMS, and you will find certain chunks. However, when I tested it I didn’t mind it at all, since it was like having chocolate chips on the shake.
Wonderful shake.

They used to only offer one product: Ambronite v5. It comes in packages of 1600kcal and pouches of 400kcal. Athletes, backpackers, busy people, fitness enthusiasts or people looking to lose weight can consume Ambronite alike; since not only provides all nutrients needed, but it also helps with focusing and re-energizing.
Recently, they have launced Balance Meal Shake, which comes in bigger packaging 10 meal tubs; and it is cheaper.
On top of that, they now offer a ketogenic meal for those who care about burning fat: Keto Meal Shake.
Lastly, they have Ambrogreens, which is I selected as one of the best green powders you can buy. The ideal way to complement your shakes and ensure complete nutrition.

All Ambronite shakes are plant based, and from real food. However, you might be wondering about the differences between them? Here you have some brief reviews to make up your mind. But before, a TL;DR:
- Complete Meal Shake is the only one that will provide you with all the nutrients you need. It is more expensive than the other two, but probably worth it.
- Balanced Meal Shake is the best tasting product, particularly the chocolate flavour. It is mouthwatering. Plus, it is the most affordable option. However, it has one flaw: it does not provide with all micronutrients.
- Keto Meal Shake is also delicious, but I would “only” recommend it to those following a ketogenic diet. I think that otherwise BMS or CMS will fit you better.
- Complete Plant Protein is not a meal replacement but a protein shake. It is meant to be used to boost your protein intake to support your weightlifting goals or recovery after physical activities.
Brief Ambronite v5 – Complete Meal Shake Review
- Plant based, GMO-free, soy free, wheat free and with real food ingredients
- 3 flavours to choose fromk
- Smoothie like shake
- All the nutrients you need (including vitamins and minerals) without artificial additives
- Available in single pouches and big bags(4 meals)
- Balance Meal Shake tastes better
- Most expensive option
Complete Meal Shake is one of the best dairy-free meal replacement shakes you can buy. It is also known as Ambronite v5 and it is available in 3 different flavours: Ginger & Apple, Banana and Berries.
All of them can be purchased in 1,600kcal pouches, which is a bit odd. 1,600kcal does not offer enough for a day, nor it is big enough to consider bulk packaging and is not small enough to be an individual meal. Each scoop that they provide gives 165kcal, so in each pouch there are 10 scoops or, 4 meals of 400kcal (2.5 scoops).
Non-GMO, Natural Whole Food Ingredients
Ambronite claims only to use the highest quality ingredients, thus it is GMO free and free of artificial ingredients. The baseline for the recipe is mostly oats, nuts and berries, as well as, multiple fruits and vegetables. Although, all these ingredients tend to have short shelf-lives, the shake powder can last up to several months, when kept closed.
But the Price…
The biggest issue with Ambronite is the price tag. $7.3/€8.28 per meal (based on 500kcal meal) is expensive, especially if you are planning to consume them more than once a day.
If You Do Not Mind the Price, Complete Meal Shake Is a Great Product
Not only because of the quality of the ingredients, but because the nutrition profile is well rounded up. As discussed in the next section, Ambronite provides plenty of protein, a very good fatty acid profile (not achieved by many products), good omega-3/6 balance, plenty of fiber and all the micronutrients you need per serving. All from naturally sourced ingredients, which is a hard feat.
Brief Balance Meal Shake Review
- Best tasting shake
- Very smooth and easy to drink
- Cheaper than complete meal shake
- Vegan, gluten-free, soy free
- Available in single pouches and tubs (10 meals)
- Not complete: lacks some vitamins and minerals
- Berry flavour is not very good
If you are getting confused by the names, you are not the first. They are very similar. In fact, the names are not just but a hint to the many similarities both Ambronite products share.
Balanced Meal Shake is the Cheaper Option
One of the main strengths of the Balanced Meal Shake is its price. About a $1/€1 lower per 400kcal than Complete Meal Shake. This might be due to the bigger sizing on the packaging. Anyhow, it is good to see Ambronite delivering more affordable high quality meals.
Balanced Meal Shake Features
It comes in tubs with 10 meals of 400kcal. There is currently only three flavours available: Vanilla, Berry and Chocolate. Both Vanilla and Chocolate are exclusive to this product, and also the best tasting shakes Ambronite has.
Looking at nutritional aspects, the protein source is changed a little, opting for pea protein instead of oat protein. The total protein content is also slightly lower(4g per 400kcal); while, the fat content is higher.
Ingredients: Oats, almond, cocoa powder (17,9%), coconut sugar, pea protein, psyllium, coconut milk powder, apple, natural flavours, flaxseed, vegetable powders (spinach, nettle leaves), berry powders (blueberry, blackcurrant, cranberry, sea buckthorn), maltodextrin, nutritional yeast, mineral salt, guar gum, stevia extract.
Keto Meal Shake Review
- Great taste
- Perfect for a keto diet and to lose weight
- One of the few plant based keto shakes
- Cheaper than Complete Meal Shake
- Also not complete: lacks some vitamins and minerals
- Only one flavour available
Last but not least, we have Keto Meal shake, already one of the best keto shakes available in Europe. It is Ambronite’s key product targeting weight loss. Before moving onwards, I must remind you that Keto Meal Shake is available worldwide, and not only in Europe.
There are a couple of things to highlight in this Keto Meal Shake review. For once, the taste of the shake is sublime. As mentioned above, it is creamier than Balanced Meal Shake, yet rich and intense. Taste will not be an issue with this drink.
The second is that just like Balanced Meal Shake, this is not a complete shake. It lacks some essential vitamins and minerals that meal replacements usually provide. That said, it does come with probiotics, antioxidants, digestive enzymes and other active ingredients to improve your gut health.
Despite this issue, and some other minor concerns (use of xylitol and price); the truth is that I really enjoy Keto Meal Shake and I think it’s a great product. I hope Ambronite keeps making improvements to it, so it might become the best keto shake.
Ingredients: Sunflower lecithin, Complete Plant Protein™ (pea protein, sunflower seed protein, pumpkin seed protein), cacao (14 %), MCT powder (coconut oil, acacia fiber), coconut milk, xylitol, natural flavours, almond, psyllium, chia seed, vegetable powders (spinach, carrot, beetroot, nettle), nutritional yeast, mineral salt, spirulina, natural digestive enzyme (bromelain, Ananas comosus), ProbioVita™ live bacterial cultures (Bacillus coagulans), stevia, maltodextrin.
- Designed to boost your protein intake after workouts
- Plant based, GMO-free, dairy-free, gluten-free
- Contains enzymes for better absorption of the protein
- Complete amino acid profile and 4g of BCAAs
- Well priced vs the competition
- Bulk discount
- Currently, only available in berry
- It’s not pure protein, contains some fats and carbs
Ambronite Complete Plant Protein is the perfect, stomach friendly protein shake. Hence, it is not a meal replacement like the other products above, but a shake that it’s designed to boost your protein intake. Fully plant based, without sucralose or any synthetic additives, it contains all the amino acids you need, including 4g of BCAAs (branched chain amino acids).
Unlike the other powders, I consider Complete Plant Protein to be cheap when compared to other top brands. It comes in tubs of 20 servings of 133kcal and 22g of protein. When you buy in bulk the price goes down and you can also subscribe for an extra 10% off.
Ingredients: Complete Plant Protein™️ (pea protein, sunflower seed protein, pumpkin seed protein), apple, natural aroma, berry powders (blackberry, bilberry, strawberry, raspberry), nutritional yeast, mineral salt, malic acid, xanthan gum, beetroot juice, bromelain (natural digestive enzyme from pineapple), stevia extract.

Ambronite aims to be a nutrition powerhouse in the meal replacement industry, by providing a plant based product, vegan friendly, with all the essential vitamins and minerals sourced from real food. Ambronite wagers on real food, as the nutrition field still discovers new findings about the way we process nutrients.
The main ingredients include oat protein, berries (bilberries, cranberries and sea-buckthorn) and almonds. This is different to most other companies in the industry, since many do not base their products in nuts and berries. Noteworthy that Ambronite does not use soy as ingredient, widely used in meal replacements. They also use higher amounts of vegetables, such as, spinach and nettle, which cause an increase in the price of the product.
Energy
Complete Meal Shake
- 41C/24P/35F
Balanced Meal Shake
- 41C/21P/38F
Keto Meal Shake
- 12C/18P/70F
All Ambronite shakes are relatively low carbohydrates and in high fat. None to the extent of Keto Meal Shake, which is a true keto shake.
Protein
Per 400kcal serving:
Complete Meal Shake
- Total Protein: 24g, 48% of RI.
- From oats, almond, coconut.
Balanced Meal Shake
- Total Protein: 20g, 40% of RI.
- From pea protein.
Keto Meal Shake
- Total Protein: 18g, 36% of RI.
- From pea, sunflower seed, pumpkin seed protein mix.
Interestingly, because Ambronite is dairy free, they make no use of whey protein (the biggest source of protein for most shakes), nor they use soy or rice. Instead, they use oat protein, almonds, coconut, and pea protein.
Low Methionine Levels in BMS?
The issue with some alternative plant-based proteins when comparing to widely used protein sources, such as, whey or soy protein isolates is their amino acid digestibility and composition. Many tend to lack or are deficient in essential amino acids (EAA) and their digestion and absorption coefficients also tend to be lower.
For instance, lysine and methionine are two of the usual suspects (low levels) in plant based proteins.
In fact, pea protein is low in methionine. That is why you will often see it together with rice, to offer a more balanced amino acid profile.
Almonds are not particularly rich in methionine either, which might indicate overall low quantities of this amino acid in Balanced Meal Shake.
Keto Meal Shake Enough Protein
On the other hand, ketogenic diets tend to limit their protein intake, so that you don’t get out ketosis. As such, having a well-designed protein mix is key in any keto shake.
In the case of Keto Meal Shake, unlike Balanced Meal Shake, uses a custom Complete plant protein mix that includes pea, sunflower seed and pumpkin seed protein. With this, they are able to provide not only a complete amino acid profile (shown below) but also 2.1g of essential branched-chain amino acids (BCAAS).
Carbs
Per 400kcal serving:
Complete Meal Shake
- Total Carbs: 40.8g, 15% of RI.
- Sugars: 12g, 24% of RI (based on EU).
- Fiber: 8g, 40% of RI.
Balanced Meal Shake
- Total carbs: 37g, 14% of RI.
- Sugars: 12g, 24% of the upper recommended by EFSA.
- Fibers: 8g, 32% of DV.
Keto Meal Shake
- Total carbs: 13g, 5% of RI.
- Sugars: 1g, 2% of the upper recommended by EFSA.
- Fibers: 8.5g, 42% of DV.
BMS and CMS with Plenty of Fruit Sugar
One of the main drawbacks of so heavily relying on fruits and vegetables is usually high sugar content. Indeed, Ambronite products tend to be high in sugars, mostly fructose (8g out of 15). In the US, the Dietary Guidelines recommend less than 10% of the calories to come from added sugars, which equals to 50g. 4 servings of Ambronite will provide you with 60g of sugars, from which a part will be added sugars (coconut sugar) and part will be naturally occurring sugar (fructose).
KMS Has 5g of Net Carbs
An aspect most ketogenic practitioners look at is the net carb balance of each meal. The lower the better usually, in order to avoid breaking ketosis. In the case of Keto Meal Shake, it’s 5g per 400kcal, which is good enough. These net carbs are calculated by subtracting fibres and sugar alcohols to the total amount of carbs.
Here is where another “issue” arises. Ambronite Keto Meal Shake contains xylityol (a sugar alcohol), which is known to raise blood glucose levels in some individuals. Ultimately, this could be a problem, because it could take you out of ketosis.
According to Ambronite, however, this will not be an issue:
Our Keto Meal Shake contains xylitol extracted from birch wood. Xylitol has a low GI of 7 and doesn’t spike blood sugar. Unlike many other sweeteners that take you out of ketosis, it’s metabolized without releasing insulin. Therefore, it works well with Keto lifestyle.
Answer to the xylitol question from Ambronite.
Good in Fibres
On the plus side, Ambronite is fairly high in fibre in all three variants, which comes from gluten free oats. High fibre foods are essential to maintain a healthy gut and regular bowel movement.
Fats
Per 400kcal serving:
Complete Meal Shake
- Total Fats: 15.2g. 22% of the DRI.
- Saturated Fats: 2.4g. 12% of DRI.
- Monosaturated (MUFA): 7.2g. This is 13% of the calories per serving.
- Polyunsaturated (PUFA): 5.6g. This is 10% of the calories per serving.
- Omega-3 (ALA): 0.8g.
- Omega-6: 1.6g.
Balanced Meal Shake
- Total fats:17g, 24% of RI.
- Saturated fats: 2g, 10% of RI.
- Monounsaturated fats (MUFA): 9g, which is 9.5% of the energy per serving.
- Polyunsaturated fats (PUFA): 6g, which is 6.3% of the energy per serving.
Keto Meal Shake
- Total fats: 31g, 44% of RI.
- Saturated fats: 10g, 50% of RI.
- Monounsaturated fats (MUFA): 13g, which is 29% of the energy per serving.
- Polyunsaturated fats (PUFA): 6g, which is 6.3% of the energy per serving.
Complete Meal Shake and Balanced Meal Shake on Point
The main sources for fat in Ambronite are nuts and flaxseed. Both sources are very well regarded in the nutrition community, since they are very low in saturated fats and contain plenty of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. In fact, the omega-3/6 ratio is 1/2, within the ideal 1/1-1/4 range that is related to less risk for cardiovascular diseases.
On top of that, the amount of energy from MUFA is within the recomended range from the WHO (15-20%); while, PUFAs are a little in excess, it is not by much (recommended 6-11% from PUFA).
Keto Meal Shake Includes MCTs
Obviously, KMS has much more fat content than the other 2 variants. 10g of that are saturated fats that come from medium chain triglycerides (MCTs), which are often considered essential in a keto diet. This is because they provide with fast energy.
One thing to consider with KMS is high prevalence of sunflower lecithin, which is rich in omega-6. As mentioned above, a ratio of 1/1-1/4 of omega-3 to 6 is recommended to avoid the inflammatory effects O-6 can have. Therefore, it would be interesting to know the omega-3 quantities in KMS.
Micronutrients
This is one of the most interesting areas of Ambronite. While Complete Meal Shake provides you with all the vitamins and minerals you might need from natural sources; both BMS and KMS only have some micronutrients.
It is weird to see the that the newest products don’t deliver as the original does with micronutrients from highly nutritious vegetables, such as, spinach, chlorella, spirulina…
These plants are not only rich in vitamins and minerals, but also in phytonutrients and antioxidants; compounds that have positive effects on health despite not being qualified as nutrients.
Balanced Meal Shake micronutrients:

Potassium (mg) | 669 | 33.5 |

Five Finnish men, named Simo Suoheimo, Mikko Ikola, Arno Paula, Mikka Pera and Tapio Melgin founded Ambronite in 2014 with the objective of creating the first drinkable organic meal.
It was advertised in Indiegogo (crowdfunding website) as the first organic food replacement, and became the most successful funding campaign in the website. The first shipments were made in December 2014, and they have since grown to deliver worldwide with factories in the USA and Finland.
We are fighting against fake food.
1. We trust on plant-based & performance-improving real foods.
2. We avoid ingredients that do not improve your daily performance.3. We’re always Plant-Based.
Ambronite’s nutritional philosophy.
4. We never use supplements.
5. Nutrients are most potent from real food
The major point of focus of the company is creating the ultimate super food sourced completely from natural ingredients, plant based, non-GMO and vegan friendly.
The team has changed, with the inclusion of Valerie and Pessi, as Tapio and Mikka left. Not, however, the spirit, since Ambronite has been delivering meal replacements based on real food ever since their first shipment in December 2014.
Shipping Costs
Having born from crowdfunding at Indiegogo, it has grown to have to facilities, one in Finland and one in Europe, and be able to ship worldwide (quite a feat!). The shipping rates start at €9.9 in orders below €100 in Europe and it is usually delivered within 3 to 6 days. In the US and Canada, the delivery times will be around 5 business days.
Europe
- Below €100: €9.9
- €100-150: €4.9
- Over €150: Free
USA
- Below $100: $9.9
- $100-150: $4.9
- Over $150: Free
Canada
Same as US, but local fees may apply. If the order is stopped in the border you will have to pay extra.
Rest of the World:
Same shipping costs as for Europe, but local import taxes might apply and the delivery times will be longer.
Remarkably, this means that you could get Ambronite delivered to Australia for the same price as in Europe! Not something many brands can offer.
Return Policy
Ambronite emanates a positive vibe, easily noticeable if you ever need to contact their customer team; amiable, fast and reliable. If not satisfied with the product, you alway have the chance to return it within 30-days.
Not only that, but they operate a 110% money back guarantee program, which means they not only refund you the money but give you another 10% back!
Packaging
One of the positives about purchasing Ambronite products is that you have multiple formats you can buy it in.
- Complete Meal Shake is available in individual pouches, as well as 4 meal bags, for instance.
- Balance Meal Shake, on the other hand, can be bought in tubs of 10 or in individual pouches.
- Keto Meal Shake, however, is only available in 4 meal bags (1600kcal).
Pricing & Subscription
If you are very satisfied, we recommend you to enroll their subscription program with a discount up to 33% (your wallet will thank you if you plan to consume Ambronite often). This is one of the best subscription discounts meal replacement brands offer.
In fact, you can stack it up with bulk discounts.

Ambronite meals are produced in Finland.
All Ambronite products are vegan, since the company believes in plant-based products as source of nutrition.
Yes, all Ambronite shakes and meals are GMO-free. They are also lactose-free and soy-free.

Ambronite Supermeals are some of the healthiest and most balanced complete food shakes.
Yes, Ambronite can help you lose weight. It will help you track your calories and feel you satiated better, so you do not overeat.
To lose weight with Ambronite, I recommend you using Keto Meal Shake, their fat burning formula.
Ambronite’s shelf life is around 6-12 months. After this period, Ambronite will not go bad, but it will lose some nutrients.

I have been remarking the issue with the price, the fact that Ambronite is expensive when comparing to 95% of the meal replacements out there. But the fact is, Ambronite is not like the other 95% shakes out there. Ambronite offers an mostly organic, completely food based meal replacement matched by few; Vitaline, Ample and Feed.’s organic range, for instance.
Ambronite vs Ample
The European superfood vs the American superfood. Which one is the real deal?
Ample O
Ample Original is the starting Ample formula. It contains organic grass-fed whey protein concentrante as protein source, for which is not vegan friendly.
Ample V
Ample Vegan is the “copycat” version of Ample O, but with organic pea- and organic brown rice- protein. The other nutrients are in similar level.
Ample K
Ample K is the most different of all, since it is designed for keto users. Ample K uses grass-fed whey protein, but only has 16g of fat, of which 10 are fiber.

Key Points
- Ample is only available in the US, while Ambronite can be bought worldwide.
- Ample has some of the best gluten-free meal replacement shakes.
- Both brands have different meal shakes including a ketogenic option. However, all Ambronite products are plant based; whereas Ample O and Ample K contain ingredients with animal origin.
- While the stating price is high, both brands offer great subscription and bulk discounts.
- All Ample products lack some essential micros, whereas Complete Meal Shake does not.
- Ample shakes are richer in fat than Ambronite’s regular shake.
- Ambronite’s Chocolate shakes are the best tasting out of all.
Which One Should I Buy?

Complete Meal Shake vs Balanced Meal Shake
This is the ultimate comparison between the two Ambronite supermeals. Before we go any further, I need to mention that the names can be confused very easily; a mistake, in my opinion.

The Daily Values are based on US guidelines so they differ slightly with RI (Recommended Intake) – from EU.
There is very little difference from the macronutrient standpoint. Balanced Meal Shake is a little higher in fat content, and has less protein. 4g per serving must not seem like much, but it is a 20% increase.
More importantly, what differs is the source of protein. While BMS uses pea protein; CMS uses oat protein. Oat protein is lower in essential amino acid content. Really low in fact, which needs to be compensated ingesting 3 times more protein.
The real deal comes when looking at the micronutrients. CMS will ensure you take all the nutrients your body needs, while Balanced Meal Shake will be deficient in some vitamins and minerals.
Taste
Both have a very green natural taste to it. It is hard to describe, but I would say it is “the Ambronite flavour”.
Balanced Meal Shake has a more oaty background with some hints of Vanilla. It feels closer to other meal replacements (due to oat flavour). Complete Meal Shake, on the other hand, has stronger flavours and more punch.
Out of all 6 flavours, though, BMS chocolate is the best without a doubt.
Which One Should I Buy?
Ambronite BMS
- You value taste above nutrition.
- You love chocolate shakes.
- More affordable.
Ambronite CMS
- 3 flavours to choose from.
- You enjoy fruity flavours more.
- Real complete nutrition.

Neither of the brands uses any synthetic additives (like vitamins or sweeteners) in their shakes; opting for real food sources (organic) to make their complete foods.
Bertrand does have other two non-vegan options (whey protein). The vegan version uses rice protein, instead. Furthermore, it only provides with 15g per 700kcal serving, which will not be enough for non sedentary people.
On the contrary, Ambronite’s BMS uses pea protein (together with protein from almonds and oats) and provides 20g/400kcal (100g a day).
Looking at carbohydrates, Bertrand Vegan has more complex carbs than Balanced Meal Shake; which is a little high in sugars.
Nevertheless, if you are looking for a complete meal replacement, Bertrand takes the edge since it provides with all the vitamins and minerals you require per serving, whereas Balanced Meal Shake does not.
Which One Should I Buy?
Ambronite BMS
- Looking for some extra protein.
- Already buying Ambronite.
- Better tasting shakes.
- You can also buy Keto.
Bertrand V
- It is the more complete meal (includes all micros).
- Looking for the more affordable option.
- Not a very active person.
- More flavours available.

Verdict
Ambronite is the ultimate meal replacement for those who really care about what they eat. If you are concerned about GMO, you consume organic food, you care about where and how where they sourced you will like Ambronite.
On top of that, they offer a great array of products:
- Balanced Meal Shake Chocolate is one of the best tasting shakes in the market, almost unparalleled. The vanilla is very good too, and both made me look forward towards my next meal.
- Complete Meal Shake is ideal for those who want to get all the nutrients from natural sources and avoid artificial additives. The taste is good, but not as fantastic as BMS.
- Lastly, Keto Meal Shake is another great tasting shake, ideated for those following a ketogenic diet; or simply want to lose weight.
For me, the price for most Ambronite powders is a little too expensive to use in a daily basis. While they do have great discounts, I understand that there many will be in the same boat as myself. Nevertheless, if you can afford the price tag, you will find that the Ambronite shakes are exactly what you are looking for.
